Our RUSHWORTH and BOOTH Ancestors.

The RUSHWORTH pedigree relies on research done mostly by myself (G. Edward Rushworth) back to the 17th century. Erroneous information at page 235 of "Ilkley: Ancient and Modern" by Collyer and Turner in 1885, has been corrected. There is some doubt about the precise Thomas Rishforth (b. 1654?) who married Jane Stirk on 2 Nov 1697 in Kildwick, as well as some other doubts earlier in the lineage.

The BOOTH pedigree is compiled partly from "History of Gildersome and the Booth Family" by Philip Henry Booth and published privately in 1920. The book is available in Leeds City Library in Yorkshire. However, research done by Heather Ferrier has shown an evident error in the book concerning Nathaniel Booth (1625 - 1675), having been a merger of two different people.
