10. Joseph RUSHFORTH was baptized in 1812 in Staveley, Nr. Kendal. He was born on 9 Mar 1812. He died on 28 Feb 1854. He was a Bobbin Manufacturer.

He was married to Jane GUNSON on 26 Oct 1839. Jane GUNSON was born in 1808. Joseph RUSHFORTH and Jane GUNSON had the following children:

+18 i. Mary RUSHFORTH.
19 ii. George Gunson RUSHFORTH was born on 21 Sep 1841. He died in 1868 in Melbourne Australia.
20 iii. Thomas RUSHFORTH was born on 29 Jun 1843. He died on 22 Aug 1873 in Melbourne Australia.

He was married to Hannah SIMPSON on 13 Nov 1847. Hannah SIMPSON was born on 17 Dec 1814 in Lyth. She died on 4 Dec 1892. Joseph RUSHFORTH and Hannah SIMPSON had the following children:

22 ii. Joseph Simpson RUSHFORTH was born on 22 Jun 1849. He was a Farmer of 400 acres in 1881 in Esthwaite Hall, Hawkshead. He appeared on the census in 1881 in Hawkshead Monk Coniston Skelwith, Lancashire. He died in 1916.
